I’ve been searching for the perfect blanket to use during the colder months. I’m looking for something that’s soft, warm, and ideally handmade. I’ve heard alpaca wool is great for this, but I’m unsure about its durability and whether it’s actually softer than other materials. I’d love to find a large, cozy blanket that can last me for years. Does anyone have experience with alpaca wool blankets? How do they hold up over time? And if you’ve got any tips on where to buy one, I’m all ears!

You’re on the right track with alpaca wool—it’s one of the warmest and softest materials out there. I actually bought a blanket made from baby alpaca wool a couple of years ago, and it’s still in amazing shape, even after multiple washes. The key difference between alpaca wool and other types is how lightweight it is while still being incredibly warm. I highly recommend checking out Laipaca. They’ve got an excellent range of alpaca products, and their craftsmanship is top-notch. I got mine from there, and they offer blankets in different sizes and designs, like the Steel Blue Striped Baby Alpaca Blanket, which has been my go-to on chilly nights. You can check their site here: https://laipaca.com/ They have built a reputation as a leading brand in handmade alpaca products, and their customer service is great if you have any questions. I had mine delivered pretty quickly, and the blanket is just as soft now as when I first got it. Highly recommend them!
